There is two holes parallel to eachother on the back of my max. There both 3/4 in wide probably. Does anyone know if they're supposed to be there or not? Also anyone have an extra set of 2 plugs?

The holes are supposed to be there. This is how the machine is drained from water seepage after swimming or just getting parked in the rain.If the holes are as they were originally and have not been tampered with the plugs used are a plastic disposable plug called a "Caplug" or "Kaplug" I'm not sure from here of the spelling. These plugs look very similar to the smaller plugs used when for example when one gets rustproofing done on a vehicle and they snap in to plug the hole after the anti-rust agent is sprayed in the body panels and can be removed for re-application.The holes on my Max had been tampered with and were oversized for these plugs to work and I have to use a rubber boat drain type plug.Someone here probably have a couple of spares you might be able to get from them to see if your holes have been tampered with. They just snap in.

Call up RI and you can get a whole bag of them. I think they were like $10 but I am not sure, been a while since I have bought them.

Plugs
I just went to walmart and bought 2 of the brass boat plugs. easy to get out and you can tighten then as needed.i do not really plan on any deep water where i am just a few knee deep creek crossings.

Though mine was tampered with and the factory plugs wouldn't fit,I would think that if plugged by the plastic snap-in plugs there would be no tendency to snag on anything.I use rubber boat plugs but climbing over things does get them snagged and bent on the handles.Never had them pull out or leak though.

True but, I want to avoid large waves/salt water. I may need a boat tag to go into the bay. If I stick around out here long enough, I'd like to go to Pismo Beach.
It rained a lot over the weekend and I wanted to go out today but, I need to check a few things on the machine - maybe after Christmas.
