  • MAX 11 grind sound

I have the max 2 its a 1997 but any how it seems when I am going down hills I can feel a slight grind in the steering sticks when I pull back on them slightly but if I keep a Little throttle going I don't feel it is this normal?for that to happen or does something need adjustment? you wont feel it when the handle are fully engaged froward or when you pull back for brake then it wont happen it just seems to be in between any thoughts would be a great help

That is normal and typically referred to as "band chatter". It only does it as you begin to engage the bands in the T20 (as you begin to brake). The bands slip a little on the drums before they grab and brake that side and that slipping is what you are hearing.

It doesn't hurt a thing at all. If you don't want to hear that noise then the 4 ounces of GM additive will quieten it down like John said but again, it is not necessary.
