What year is my maxII?

Just got an older max with a good t20 and good bottom the top body is kind of beat up but i took out the original jlo engine and switched it for a g50b but i was wondering what year it is? the serial number is oma 00504

I would suggest that you call Recreative Industries at 1-800-255-2511 and the lady that answers should be able to tell you.

i called her and she had to go into the "archives" she didn't believe that the serial number went that low but i got the year and its a 1970!

That's just great that you found out. How about posting some pictures of your machne so we can enjoy seeing a 1970 model?

I actually just put a video up driving it with an attex but i just took a good look at the serial number plate and it says its a max I not II. I didn't even know they made thoes?

Well, they didn't call them Max I back then, they were just a Max. Wow, S/N 504 is like having a classic car. There was the Max , then the Big Max & then came the Max II. Whipper's 1st Big Max was the 11th built off the assembly line & that was in 1972 S/N in the 3100 range.

1970?! Is it HDPE? I know some of the very early Max machines were ABS, but I've no idea when they changed or how many there were. Cool old Max!
