Well finally got to do maint, pick up a pallet jack at a sale. Works good at getting all wheels off the ground. Greased and tightened the chains, but I noticed that on three wheels if you lift up there is some slack, not tight. Would this be bearings? Let me know what you think and what I might need. Thanks Loco

Well, The cage is not as thick as the diameter of the balls. The seals are touching inner and outer races, but are too soft to prevent the play, So you'll definitely feel play if their worn badly.Originally posted by Eldon View PostI would think that bearing cages would make it much more difficult to detect a worn bearing at the point of entry at the wall of the body as one could not get any movement if only the center bearing was bad.Attex 295 Wild Wolf: sigpic My Runner

Your best bet is to get in touch with Buffalo Bearing. There are many members on 6x6World from all across the country that go to them to get high quality bearings at a really good price, including myself. Check to see if you have either 62mm or 72mm outside diameter bearings, and then give them a call and tell them that you are using them for your Max 6 wheeler with 1.25" axles. Their number is (716) 874-1720. They will take good care of you there.Originally posted by locosmith View PostThanks Guys, Thats what I figured. Any Idea to cost to replace all. Do they have a kit for all six wheels? Im just glad this was in good shape can't imagine what a ruff one would be like. You can just get a rough measurement while they're still bolted onto the machine in the bearing housing or call Recreatives Amphibious Six-Wheel Drive All-Terrain Vehicles: MaxATVs - Call 1-800-255-2511"Looks like you have a problem with your 4 wheeler........you're missin' two wheels there"
