  • Max II pulling to right

My Max II with the T20 Transmission pulls slightly to the right.
I am always engaging the left side to correct.
i have become rather used to it but now I think I should correct it.
I have set all tires to 3.5 lbs
I have tried 4.5 left side with 3.5 right side, this made a differance but I know it is not proper.
Is the answer to adjust the bands on both sides......
    Duh!!!!!
Done that to, but still pulls
Removed all bearings at wheels and outer cages, all is free and well greased
chain adjusters all working and setting in place correctly
I am beginning to think this Max II has a mind of its own, and I am about to name it Maxine

      Hey Mike
I might be able to help you out. There's a couple things you can try, before you start messing w/ the tranny. Just putting the same psi in each tire doesn't mean they will be the same circumference. Most ATV tires are not the best quality & it can take different psi in each tire to achieve the same diameter. example- 1st tire on the right side might take 3 psi, the middle tire might take 2 psi & the rear tire might take 4 psi to get them the right circumference. A thinner tire will stretch faster than a thicker tire. I made a leather strap marked off in inches (click on the pic) & I check all my tires every time I go riding. A 22" tire is 69.115 inches in circumference & you can read that right off the strap. Just to prove that point , set all your tires @ the same circumference, go back & check the tire pressure in each one & you'll probably find some of them have different psi's. The car will usually pull to the low side. Hope this helps & that's all that it is that's causing the pull.

        Pulling to the right

Now thats what I'm talking about. The measurement is a brilliant idea. I will be doing the came thing. I may put a soft measuring tape in my box just for that.
Now I need to keep my ?*%# tracks from comming off.
Out in the woods today and my front tires kept breaking the bead so the tracks of course would not stay on.
well it still is more fun than anything else!!!!!!!!!!!
        Thanks for the information...
