    I have a 1997 buffalo I got used in 2000 I have put over 400 hrs on it it now has 479 hrs for the pass few months when I take aturn to left a get this bang bang bang noise coming from the chains area i thought it was a tensioner sprocket but coming out of the woods the other day with a load of wood bang bang the chain breaks and come off the jack shaft I thought it was the bushing went bad but it seem ok to me I have taking all off I could and loosen all up as much as possible ,but cant get the shaft out but could it be just the chain ,and how much side to side play should there be , is there shims I can move it side to side about a 1/4 inch? help

    I believe the Max Buffalo Truck uses the same style jack shaft as the Max II, so there are adjustments up and down can be done by loosening the nuts on the carriage bolts, and also the 4 nuts that are facing up that are on the long threaded studs, all of which hold the jack shaft plate. That is a bit wordy, so I think it would be better if you looked at this picture for reference.

      Here's a picture. I circled the nuts that are visible in the picture that you tighten or loosen for adjustment.
