Looks like a new top is going on the new tub. I just talked to Jay at RI why my old early 80's Max 4 top is too large for the new tub i just purchased. Apparently that is often the case, even with new tops. Something to do with the lunar cycles or something. In any case he said they use specially modified vice grips to clamp things in place. the best approach is to start from the ends and work to the middle. Ill take some photos of my disaster tomorrow. Have fun "WAPITA".

It is always fun to follow these projects. I am still wondering about that little V8, that thing looks like it rocks.

heres the inner bearing flanges being drilled with a templete for small bolt pattern,
these are the large 72 mm bearing flanges with the small bolt pattern..you have to make a good templete to do this..then on the area for the grease fitting i take the fitting out and use a 1/2 bit at an angle to bore it out so grease hole in bearing will line up..i do this so i can use a small needle type grease gun for greasing, you will definatly
    see grease being pumped in..

I would have used Rhinestones for the Country look. But that's just me.
