  • Solid axle identification

Is there an easy way to tell if the axles on a Max II are hollow or solid, while they are still mounted on the Max?

Can anyone help me out with this? I am considering tracks but not if the axles are the hollow ones. Is there a visual difference while they are still mounted. I could take one out but thought there might be an easier way to tell.

I would probably just loosen the components holding your front axle (since it is easy to get at) and then just take a look inside your axle, maybe stick a screw driver in it, and see if it is solid all the way through or not. Other than that, I dont think there is any way to tell.

Thanks jpswift1, I was afraid that would be the only way to tell. I already have the tub off and engine out so I guess it wont be that much more effort to pull an axle.
