Woo Hoo my first Max II

Hello all,

Just traded a starcraft tent trailer for a '00 Max II 16 hp..... spent the weekend learning to drive it in my little corner of Ontario Canada. Works really well in our hunting grounds, managed to float it in a small pond with not much difficulty.... I am pretty impressed, my four wheeler may get a well deserved rest now !

Nice!!! Can't go wrong with a Max either! I have a feeling your gas is going to go bad in the four wheeler so you may want to put some fuel stabilizer in it.

I bought a new one in may but unfortunately it is a left hand drive, obviously because the country of manufacture drive on the wrong side of the road!!!!

You just need to drive it in reverse. Seriously though, you can always bend the laterals to where they are either straight and centered or where they go to the right. In fact you may even be able to just remove the laterals, swap them with each other and rotate them 180 degrees to get it to bend to the right. I can't remember exactly how they are bent from memory but it may be worth looking into. They aren't hard to remove and you can switch the throttle to the other one?

it can be difficult to drive on the (wrong side ) if all your life you are used to doing it the other way! the other day i had to drive a right hand drive saturn wagon (postal delivery special) man it was weierd!!!!! not to mention i felt like a tard trying to pull it up on the alignment rack took like 6 trys!!!!!!! and it was stick shift to boot!!! shifting with the wrong hand adds to it!

aren't all cars stick shift? Right hand drive has to be right.. right. I did think of altering the sticks in my max but it wouldnt be worth it as the foot brake is on the left. The only mods i will try are splitting the gear selecter and a roll bar. max and argos are very rare in Ireland, I beleive I may have 1 of only 4 max's in the country and no agents to speak of.
