gas cap question max

Does anybody have a problem with gas spitting out of the gas cap vent hole when you ride. I stuffed some sponge into the hole underneath the cap. I wondered if this happens to anyone else or is my cap missing a gasket or something. For normal riding it's no big deal, but if I'm going out hunting I don't want to smell like Aude De octane!

Mike, you shouldn't have any coming out. Perhaps you can get a replacement at the local auto parts store. It may be a common size? Or you could always call RI.

It should not spit gas, probably you have a diaphram missing. You can get a cap at any farm store or lawnmover shop for under $5.00
