getting ready for the snow.
Well I took this last Thursday and installed the new axle and repaired the muffler setup then installed the tracks for the snow.
After working most of the day outside in 26 degrees I found out that I burnt my wrist on the flex pipe? I never felt it till I went inside to clean up and found this big blister on my arm, o-well.
anyways can sum won tell me just how much air I'm to have in my tiers to keep the tracks on?
they keep coming off when I'm sideways on a small hill or when turning.

Well, sorry to hear that, but glad you at least finished the ride (on 5 wheels ?) I wish I could have made it, but he does that ride a few times a year it seems. I will make a ride again, it has to happen, the odds are in my favor, eventuallyOriginally posted by FREQ42 View PostUP-DATE, The LP flex pipe did not last long on my Timex. half way threw my ride it gave out and I had to relocate my muffler to on the motor to finish out my ride today in PA,
I also broke an axle and will finish making a new one Tuesday. all in all the Timex did good today and the winch mount and body band worked good.
By the end of the month I hope the Timex will be back in full operation.

I am curious where you got the LP Flex Pipe, I have to replace a flex pipe on my Attex.

OK all, The only think I have left is to straiten out the wiring and rebuild the carb, it started running bad for sum resin but not a problem. I have extra rebuild kit's for that and only takes me 20 minutes to do the job. I will have it all ready buy this Friday night.
the only thing I have to make is a cover for over the motor, I just don't know what kind of cover i want.

Got a big box from RI today full of goody's.
Now I have to Waite till Monday to figure out how sum of my parts are to go on.
I ordered gaskets and a new outer shield for my exhaust, they told me two gaskets go on the outside, two on the inside and one in the body?
Is there any-body that can give a better description on the gaskets used on the max-II exhaust. I'm thinking one go's on the outside of the outer heat shield, one on the other side of the shield, one fills the space in the body "that one I know is right do to it is a different size" then one on the inner body then the inner shield then the last gasket go's on the other side of the inner shield. pleas correct me if I'm wrong.
I fixed the hole's in the lower body and found the body damaged under the shield. I wanted OEM parts instead of the cob-job the last oner did. since there is no parts breakdown diagram reference when putting it back together it gets to be a guising game.

I wondered, figured it was a good one. A friend has a hydraulic Hossfeld. It's how I did the racer's cage and is just a fun tool to use
The bender isn't cheap, but it's the tooling that will run you broke.

I cut mine into segments using a portable band saw. I cut 1/4 to 1/2" wide segments depending how sharp of a bend is required.Originally posted by JOHNMcDANIEL0322 View Postfreq how did you bend the angle iron like that? it looks awesome!!! i was going to weld mine in segments but yours looks really good.
I clamped every thing up in a jig to weld it up without it warping and shrinking from the heat of the welding proses.

The next time I make one up I will get the attachment for my bender that will allow me to bend the Ange iron without having to cut it into segments.Attached Files
