Well the Timex is now finished, I took it for a swim today for the first time today with the new tiers.
as long as i keep the wheels spinning slow they will move me in the watter but not fast, any faster and I didn't go any-ware.
Now it's off to the store for a trolling motor and paddle. there grate in the mud but the watter well

so you are telling us we could "cheaply" get 2 bottom tub and slice them for the ultimate BigFoot Max IV and run 31" tires ? and with tracks over the 31" ? (ok, may be not 31" but at least the tracks over the 26" tires)

Did they make a blue top for the Mav IV? I thought they did it only for the Max II.

Wow! That is a nice MaxII and you have put a lot of time and effort into making it a really nice machine. I hope you can get the Kohler engine. I have never seen the older style tracks but they look like they will be very impressive in the mud. Congratulations on rebuild and the ingenuity in took to rebuild your machine.

Jay has a number of the MaxII tops, but not many for the MaxIV......Alot of them are rough, but I just got a blue, a green, 2 bottoms, one floor board and a bunch of trans parts for $1200 with tax, (damn tax man). Why did I buy 2 sets? I guess the wife is right I'm an idiot.

Not a problem Dirty Harry, I was told over the phone they get $400 for a Blemished top but when i went there and looked over the tops and found the one i like they told me $150. most of them wear start off the press with defects and wear not cut out or trimmed. Keep in mind I bout a bunch of hi-dollar items to repair my max-II and they may have lowered the price of the top. But I think if you go and look over there tops and pick the one you want they will give you a sweet deal on it.

Well after my last ride in PA I have decided I have had engulf of breaking down during the rides. I know it happens but for me it's a lot. oddly only when i ride with others.
well now it's dun. the Timex now has new bearing and chains. new jack-shaft on the right side. the T-20 has had the fluids changed & A new top has bean installed. I evan found and repaired a leak in the bottom of the tub. installed split shaft colliers on most of the shafts. and installed a new belt. I will brake it all in next weekend to work out any bugs that pop up.
I want this thing in top shape for Busco Beach, But i know that if any thing happened there will be plenty of help. I will post sum picture's soon.

Thanks for the reply.I want to build my own tracks and am trying to come up with track guides. That seems to be a bit much considering you need 24 per track.

They have two different guides, a 3" and 13" the 13" is $25 each. they used the 13" on the old style track like mine and the 3" on the full belt track they offer now.

Well I went yesterday to RI and got new rim's & 22x11-8 Maxxis sur track tires to update the Timex and while there I also got a blemished green top with headlight for it also.

they had a couple in camo and blue but chose green only do to it was cut out already with the options i have.
I installed the wheels and gave it a quick spin around the block. WOW what an improvement from my old tire's.

When I was at RI I also got replacement guide cleats for my track's that i broke on the last PA ride.

I now have only 6 weeks left till Busco Beach to change the top, install the new bearings, tune up or change the motor to a 25hp Kohler, install a hitch on the RV + get a trailer to haul the Timex.

Yup they cam with my max but one of the spacers wear missing and i had to call RI for a new one.
I'm running the air in the tiers at about 10psi to keep them on the wheels, any lower and the track tries to walk off the tiers.
I have gone over sum log's with no problem but have not tried them in mud yet. I'm thinking of taking it up the road to the swamp to try it out.
