I'm assuming this is a Max II with the ratcheting style adjusters? If so, you can probably take them all the way out by removing the four bolts that hold the entire assembly in the frame rails, and fix them. You may not even have to take them out. It almost sounds like you are missing the spring clips that keep the adjusters together, holding it in one place. Either that or the back of your adjusters are really worn out but I doubt that would happen on all of your adjusters. Look at this how-to guide to see if your adjusters are missing the sprung piece of metal that holds everything in place: Max chain adjuster replacement

Well decided to make the front adjusters from a slide to a sprocket i think thats what they should have stuck with one of the early max models had sprockets for adjusters. As i cant modify the front like i did the back cause of floor board

I got the one's from Richard's several years ago. They are far superior to the ratchet style. They require little adjusting, it just takes a wrench to loosen one bolt, then I use a big screwdriver to push the adjuster into proper tension, then retighten the one bolt, and its done. Do yourself a favor and ditch the ratchet style, they are prone to gunk up or rust up quickly anyway.

Proper tension is ~1/4" deflection total. 1/8" up and 1/8" down. It is important that you check this with the wheels off the ground.

I looked at the ones Richards relics sells and made my own set.Richard sorry but I thought yours where on the pricey side. They work great so kudos on your design Richard. I would suggest to anyone to replace their racheting style with these. Or do as I did and fab your own.
