ok guys what do you think on this one im in the process of gathering parts to put a 600 tripple polaris (fugi) liquid cooled in a max 2 my question is should i put all the current production heavy duty (but also verry heavy) parts splined axles, inner berings, heavy frame,..... or do i go with older lighter stuff bolt through axles (hollow) inner bushings lighter stub shaft frame... do the bennifits of the heavy duty parts out weigh the weight saveings? when you have 75+hp does it make up for it? im thinking go with the heavy duty stuff do to the fact that with an engine that big im gonna want to beat on it my current max , a 25hp kohler 4-stroke started life as a 75 big max, for a while i had a 500 polaris (fugi) twin in it and it was a blast but not a trail rider! (after that siezed on me i went 4-stroke) i compleately gutted it and now have all the current production splined , o-ring, inner bering, disk brake, (best of the best, of the best sir) parts so i know whats involved parts and labor and i have a first hand experience on the weight saveings involved so im throwing it out there for you guys what do you think????????
ps: im leaning tward the heavy stuff
