if you are running a newer machine with a briggs or kohler, you can get a new choke cable assembly from any auto parts store for around $10.
ask for a universal fit manual choke. get a long one (i usually grab a 9 foot). pull the handle/ inner cable all the way out of the housing. install/ route the housing and cut to length. then grease the cable and slide it back in. bend the end of the cable into a "Z" and cut off the excess. hook i to the engine and your done. I always but the one with the metal handle as they are a little tougher than the plastic versionA well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

yep, should work the same. pull your old one out first and you can just copy the length from it. just remember to pull the cable out before you cut the housing... not that I've ever made that mistake beforeA well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

I just wipe the cable with some red grease before I slide it in. you could also spray a bunch of wd-40 in the housing as it will help keep water outA well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
