  • tracks or no tracks?

was thinking of making a red-neck snowplow for my max IV, and was wondering if i will need to go to tracks or has someone tried this idea using just tires. normally my average snowfall is around 6-10 inches at a time , and was curious if my max can push without tracks. just installed all six new rawhide III's. thanks for any input guys.

I've never plowed, but traction is traction, and tracks will always get you more traction than tires. If you can buy them or make them, then thats the way to go.

When in doubt always go tracks. The factory kits are pricey but they increase your use in snowy country to such a degree only budget would be the reason not to go tracks.IMHO only. :-)

Forgot to add though that I have plowed with wheels only and the snowfall you are talking it will plow fine.
