  • bearing replacement

I am working on replacing the bearings on the rear drivers side. This is the same side where the clutch is located etc. Do I have to lift the engine out of the way to service this bearing? Thanks.

You don't have to as long as you can reach the two bolts that hold the bearing race in place. Just keep in mind though that there are only four bolts holding the engine in place. It is usually faster to remove them and slide the engine out of the way then it is to feel around for the bolts that hold the race in place.

I moved my engine when I replaced mine. A quick tip is to mark where you engine was sitting at makes it much easier trying to get it all lined back up. And while you're at it check your belt and clutch for any excessive wear while you're at it.
The feat of sinking a max is a badge of honor.
