    Hi all,

    I bought a used early 1990's Max iv. I noticed that the drive belt in slipping under a lot of load. What is the best way to change the belt, and where is the best place to buy one ? Thanks for any help

    Hi Brian, if the belt isn't worn out, you can tighten it by shimming your motor up some. If you need a belt, your local NAPA can source one for you. Just take them the numbers / brand of the current belt. You can also purchase one from the factory or your local Max dealer. To change it will typically involve removing the four bolts that hold down the engine and tilting it over to gain some slack in the belt so that you can pull it over the clutch.
