  • Max 2 chain tensioner warning

Just swapping my tensioners out for the roller style and found that R.I. installed carriage bolts to hold stock ones in. They are aimed down and over time have worn small holes through the lower tub. Have turned them all around and repaired holes with West System G-Flex. I'll let you know how this product works. Happy trails Mike

when i bought my max IV there was a slice in the side of my lower tub that was almost 6 inches long. G-flex has held up great for over 18 months.

Hi Gopher, I got mine at west marine and it's a west systems product by the Gougen Brothers. Probably spelled their name wrong. Paid $20 for the 4 oz. kit. Good luck

Not stealing the thread...but what about attaching a skid plate on the front of the hull with this stuff. Would that work with rubber like a mud flap? Just curious cause the front of my machine is getting beat.
The feat of sinking a max is a badge of honor.
