i just bought a max IV

i am interested in buying a used max plow if i can find one, but i am wondering how hard/time consuming it is to put this on and off the max?

also is it possible to have one fabricated, seems they cost quite a bit new from the dealer and i have a great welder

A lot of people fabricate their own mount and use a pin system to mount the plow. They leave the plow mount on all the time and just pin the plow on when needed.

      plow mount

      that sounds good

does anyone have any pics of this, i havent even seen a pic of how this really mounts on there, the dealer does not show any up close

and would it be possible to just pick up a small tractor plow and have it modified to fit, is it all the same thing? or are these built totally different?

      thanks for your time

Less than 2 minutes to put on/take off the factory plow once you have already installed the mounts on the axle flanges. Good luck finding a used plow. It depends on where you are located. Do you have a winch already? Using a garden tractor plow may work provided it is wide enough and light enough. Some people use an ATV commercial blade but the A-frame for the blade and the frame mounts are special built or from the factory. You can PM me for more info. I have been through the whole decision process of buying new or used, buying RI or after market, making my own or having one made. Check my avitar or gallery pics.
