  • Max 4 Bearing Help

I hate to post a new tread, but I haven't found what I was looking for in the searches.

I have a 2001 max 4 with the old axles 1.25 spline OD and 1.0625 inner OD.

Supposedly these will work on the outboard side: HC207-20 1-1/4" Insert Bearing Large OD

I haven't found a suitable inboard bearing though with the 1.0625 (1 1/16") bore though.

Can anyone help with a source?

I hate paying factory markup prices especially since I've already dumped enough cash into my max over the short amount of time I've owned it. Poor thing was stranded in the woods for months. Finally got it towed back up to the house and it's been sitting here for months too.

I just saved $160 on three rolls of the Tsubaki chain alone by buying on ebay! WOOT!

    max'd out $$$

Factory quoted $45 for each bearing (inboard or outboard) so anything cheaper than that is a big help!

    Brad,

you'll want a UC206-17 or equivalent. Punch that number into Google and there'll be hundreds of hits for you. Either that, or call up Greg at BuffaloBearings and tell him what you're looking for. 1800-669-8019 or (716) 874-1720

I'm coming up with numbers of $8-$15. Being an inboard bearing, you can get away without the uber-triple-sealed units if you're on a budget...

      Thanks Mike!

I don't care if the inner bearings are triple sealed or not just the outer.
