  • What size are the Chain Adjustment nuts on the Max 2

I have a 1994 Max 2 with the 14hp Vanguard. I am getting ready to buy some of those slick flex head combo wrenchs and it dawned on me that I dont know if they are metric or SAE! Thanks in advance. M

You need 9/16" and 1/2" wrenches to adjust the jackshaft chains. I like a wrench with a lot of offset for the 9/16"

for the 1/2, you are better off with a deep socket. paint or engrave a line on the socket, and use that line to count your turns ( or partial turns)... that way you can adjust both bolts on the shaft evenly

Great, thanks, and great idea on the marking of the socket.
