windshields, soft tops, clutches, exhaust and some other parts all come from various mfgs in Canada, exactly where i don't know

Even if RI had another company make these they most likely wouldn't sell to you.
Your best bet on a budget would probably be to source a sheet of polycarbonate/lexan and trace the pattern (from the old one if possible) and cut out a new one with a jigsaw.
If you need a flat windshield, go to a glass shop, they can cut you a custom one out of laminated safety glass. I have a street leagal dune buggy with a flat windshield that cracked, and 30min and $60 later I had a new tinted one better than before. This was 15 years ago, so it will probably cost a little more now

Thanks guys thats what i think ill do get the measurements from an old one and get a glass shop to cut me a piece of saftey glass prfer the glass over lexan due to scratching.
Is the glass riveted in on the windshield i never paid close attention on how the windshields for the max iv are put together and do they use 1/4 inch saftey glass or thicker been trying to find a local glass shop to give me a price on making one but i need to find more specifics on how the factory ones are put together. Also the snaps for the canvas roof which recreative sells which i do already have do they fasten around the windshield i am assuming there is one end of the snap which is already on the windshield when you purchase it from the factory.
