ID solid axle varification

question: what is the best way to verify if a MAX IV (1990-2005) has solid axles without removing the tub floor ?

without removing the floor, the only way I can to think to do it would be with a sonic tester used to measure the thickness of steel.

The back floor lifts out in like 2 seconds in a Max IV. Take the bolt out of a sprocket & look through the hole with a flashlight. If it's hollow, you'll see it, or check the end of the axle where it comes to the inner bearing . If it's hollow , you can stick your finger in it. If it has a bolt through the end of it, it's solid. If you have splined axles they are solid.
