I need some ideas before I abandon an idea I've been toying with. I've been upgrading my Max flanges with the Argo ones and it has worked great. I was considering using the Argo bearing extensions on the front axles to help prevent bent axles. The problem I have is the extenders will mount wider than the original flange. and the body is ribbed either side of the flange (see picture below) . There is probably nothing that can be done to make it fit well but before I scrap the idea I'd thought I'd throw it out there for you guys.

    Thanks for any input

I like the Argo flanges idea, but I'm not convinced that the Argo extensions will prevent you from bending an axle. If you go to my gallery pics & look @ the pic of Bridget's axle (She took it out), I don't believe a bearing extension would have stopped that axle from bending. Beef it up too much & then you'll start bending the frame & you don't want to do that. Think about keeping the Argo flanges & just using a better quality axle?

      Whipper,

I guess that's a good point about the axles. Sort of like a shear pin, the axle will be sacrificed so as not to damages the big parts. Also I know where I can get some really good quality axles!
