Choke cable Routing

Does anybody know if the choke cable (for a Vanguard) goes along the bottom of the tub (next to the throttle) or along one of the sides with either the wiring or the fuel line?

On my old MaxII it goes around the side with the wiring and fuel line. I've got a Tecumseh, but I'd imagine it's the same route.

I'm sure both ways will work as long as the cable length reaches. the main thing would be to avoid any and all sharp bends as a kink in the cable will render it useless. It needs to slide free and easily.

In out 97 MaxII it is routed down the left side of the machine with the wiring

Thanks for the replies... I'll start routing everything over the next few days (first order of business is the identifying the source of the oil leak)
