i bought a max II and it came with an engine in a crate it is a jlo motor the vin says 5787 on the body tag did a 87 model come with a jlo motor?? makes no sense to me or i am missing something thanks

The 87 in the serial number doesn't represent the year. The serial number is just a progressive number for every Max made. You can call recreative industries with your serial number and they can tell you the year: Amphibious Six-Wheel Drive All-Terrain Vehicles: MaxATVs - Call 1-800-255-2511

found out year

called the company RI today and found out that my max II is a 1980 origanally sent to alaska in 8/80 and it is still here and was shipped with a JLO having all the books sent to me thought that info was cool and just would share it with you all
