On my max 2 Im having trouble with the tires kicking up water into the back air vents was wondering what it would hurt to block them off i think it would still get enough air through the side vents. It does it worse when I have a deer on the back but even when it's just me it takes a little water on through the vents. Let me no what y'all think.

There are a few threads on here detailing what others, including myself, have done. I used "baler belt" that I purchased at a Tractor Supply. On my Max II, I used 4" and on my Max IV I used 4" on the sides and 7" on the rear. The 4" is something like $3-$4 a foot. You don't have to build anything special to attach it. I just drilled holes in it to match the location of the factory body bolts and then ran a littler longer bolt through the belting and the body. Where two pieces came together (like the transition from the side to the rear piece on the Max IV) I riveted the baler belt pieces together. I don't have any good pictures of it but you can make it out in these:

man! im about ready to cut off my left thumb!! frequently when i type, my left thumb hits something low on the keyboard, and poof! i get a "new tab". well anyway 2nd attempt, i too have used baler belt to keep snow from coming in and covering k&n filter causing misfiring. i mounted 2 pieces vertically over the 2 left side rear vents. ive had no overheating problems........but then again, i am the guy with the SIEZED ENGINE!!i have tools, and i have hands, its the filler between my ears thats missing.
