Hi, I am new to this as a member, but not to the site. I am looking to buy a Max II that I have found from at least the plate on the dash area to be made n March of 1980. The Max is in Pretty Good shape with many new or recently rebuilt parts. The OH160 Tecumseh engine was rebuilt two years ago and it has a list of other parts.....
"It had 4 new updated solid axles installed. All six axle bearings and seals, new chains and chain guides. The brake bands on the front axle look like new. It starts and runs and IDLES great. The charging system puts out 10-15 amps...."
My question is this... Having not being able to see the Max, does it seem reasonable to pay $1700-$1900 for an AATV that is potentially 30+ years old? Another question, Is there any other place that I can look while inspecting it to see if the number on the dash matches others on the maching, to see if it is the original body or possibly just an older body swapped on?
Thanks For The Help!!
