Your wishing Honda was put out of business by the ATC lawsuits goes more toward the issue of why the 4 wheelers are more popular and why the 6 wheelers are more expensive. Honda has a large corporation. They manufacture small engines, generators, lawn mowers, motorcycles, 4 wheel atvs, cars, aircraft engines. They have the money and clout behind them to be able to produce 4 wheelers at a lower cost than a small business with under 10 employees that has most of their manufacturing done by someone else and they do the final assembly. The small company still has to pay its manufacturers, employees, advertising, utilities, insurance, and possibly for their building facility. For them to come up with a radical change or new product could be economically disastrous if a part of the system breaks down.

I agree about the suspension issue....maintenance could be another. Quads will go and go with very little maintenance, until you realize that the parts that need replacing are cost prohibitive and you just go finance a new one. At least that is what happens around here.Hammers should have warning labels.

What type of suspension does he run? are there pictures of it?

The alternative is a suspension setup like Whipper's, which I'm sure is better than any tire, but not all of us have the recources and expertise of Apache Gear behind us!
There: I've added my two cents too.

Advertising?
Hi guys:
just adding my 2 cents worth in. I think one thing as said before in another quote is advertising. When i decided to buy my Argo i knew nothing of a Max. Never heard of one, thought the Attex was history not lived anymore. The only way i knew of the Argo is Ken Bost who has sold these units for 30 years or so.(which i passed everyday to and from work) Never saw a advertisement for these units either. People, as said before are amazed at these machines and think they were just developed, and stunned to find out how long they have been around. I really blows them away at the river.
I heard the enthusiasm from a lot of Max guys when Whipper was talking about his new project. The ideas were flying!
You must listen to your customers. They are the ones that are buying the machines. If i ran that company i would have a tap into this site. There is a lot of knowledge here and what a machine they could build.
LewisLife should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

In Recreatives defense, argo need updates worse than max. You can't believe what it costs to make new bodies.. I have a very rough idea from being around the mud ox as it developed. It's a mind boggling amount of $ to bring a new product to market. Never mind the amout of time and work out of someone's life.To Invent, you need a good imagination and a pile of junk.
