  • big thanks to all

i would like to send a big thanks to all the members of the site. you have helped me make a dream come true.i have allwas wanted a max since i was very young and see one for the first time.finally i found one a few months ago in my price range(300)online and the work started.after a new motor and welding and blood and sweat i finally got to test her out yesterday in the mud and a few ponds. worked great. right now im still under budget of 1000 ( just barely). have watched ever how to and manual about it on here. long story short i would not have been able to do it with out the help from this site and its members. so thanks again everyone and rick for everything!

will try to get pics up asap.
    thanks Dan.

That's great news, Dan! Spending under $1000 for your first running and driving machine is excellent. Now it's time to find more of them.......it's rare that people can stop at just one!

Wow, it's hard to keep a build under $1000. Nice work. I look forward to seeing the photos.

                SPECS

Its a 81 max2 , put a new 420 predator motor, old 4wheeler rack, brake handel for gas, drilled two holes by key for plugs(helps me to remember to put them in), fusion paint, 3 new bearings, old lawnmower tank for extra gas, trailer plugs m/f for quick disconnect of top, auto bilge pump, cup holders lol, forklift chain for inside, welded up new bolts in jack shaft, new lights , complete custom wire harness , plastic welder and fiberglass ,car battery, new p leather on seats, new bolts and wing nuts, sink pipe for exhaust (don't laugh ,it worked), new fluids , 12v power outlet, just to say the brake handle is way more comfortable than the stock gas handle. Unfortunately the paint put me over my 1000$ budget.

I like the color. That is similar to the stock blue max bodies but a little darker. That should be a lot of fun.
