hey all, today for my birthday my folks gave me a 1700 warn winch for my max II. Now I need to mount the thing, and am on the fence on whether to just buy a mount kit from Richards, or make my own. Does anyone have dimensions to properly make a mount? I have a friend that works at a machine shop and he said if i pay for material and give him the dimension he could make it, but with the price of steel, Im wondering if I would just be better to buy a kit. Any suggestions?

also. FWIW, there's a company in OHIO that makes some bada$$ winch mounts for the max aatv's. i forget the name of the company, however if you search on here in the max forum, i'm sure it wont take long to find. there's a forum member who's max2 (maybe max4?) is their test model. lol dang i cant remember who it was...ill have to look it up.I have officially caught the 6-wheel-sickness!!

yea its country atv, they only make stuff for the max 4, nothing for the Max II, hopefully they start makin stuff thoughComment

Dont buy from richards I bought his vertical mount for my max 2 and its garbage I refabricated it to be a horizontal mount and it worked great, I can get dimensions for you tomorrow if you want. O and I also have the warn 1700 and its a beast it actually .6 hp more than the superwinch 2500 pm me if you want the dimensions.Comment
