  • Upgrades to my Max IV

    DSC_0012.jpgDSC_0009.jpgDSC_0008.jpgDSC_0011.jpg

Finally got the intake done after 14 hours of machine work, it works really good and will finally idle. Also added a disc brake setup that came off a yamaha four wheeler. Can't wait for Buscoe, looks like we will be bringing three machines.

Excellent! I can't tell in the picture, but is the brake fluid reservoir on the handle, too? I'm curious if it's absolutely necessary to have the reservoir as the highest point at all times. I understand that it needs to be the highest point to fill the reservoir, but I wonder if it will operate correctly with the "rez" being mounted below the brake lever.

Nice intake, too. Was that made in two pieces? I'm not sure if that's a weld line I see in one picture....

Yes there is a weld line in the intake after it was welded together I filled it with water to make sure there was no leak, after 24 hours....NO LEAKS!

The brake rez is built into the lever so all you have to do is pull the bladder out, make a flat gasket and a flat cover, then fill it to the top and tighten the cover, which was all done after bleeding the brakes as normal. It works fine. Have not had any problems but have not driven much and has not been on there long. It does not leak as of yet. It seems to operate correctly mounted under the lever but will test durability and reliability at Busco.

Looks real good there. Daniel. Where do you have the calipers for the discs? Front axles? Maxgo has a new motor this year for Busco. They can be twins almost.

Yes it is on the front axles, I used the discs that came on the splined axles and just made my own caliper brackets. Can not wait to see Maxgo's new engine.
