Just woundering how long does the 530 chain last on t20 box to sprocket then sprocket to wheel sprocket I have found that the left side driving max generates quite a lot of heat the left chains always seem less lubed than the right side I believe because of the heat .The chains are getting sad at about 200-250 hours I just replaced all 530 chains at 230 hrs any suggestion on dealing with heat on the left side or any really good chain lube would be appreciated the heat becomes a problem after about 1hr of solid driving

My 98 MaxII takes #50 and #60 chain, not sure what year your Max is but my chains dont seem to get hot. You dont have them to tight ? Check and make sure you have the right size chain, maybe this helps . -
Thanks my maxx11 is 2011 modle it has 520 oring chain at the wheels same as what we run on our crf450 m cycle 530 orings on t20 this chain is what we run on 1100 super bikes . The reason I think they heat up on left side because the motor has ducting to draw in air for motor all hot air gets blown out left side this heats up after about 1 hr of solid use
Again it is quite heavy going along the sand dunes and beach I was thinking about putting a thermo fan in tub to help with heat in real heavy going (these are chains that come standard very strong)Comment
