  • Sprocket question maxiv

Does the sprocket on a splined axel require a spacer between it and the c clip? Or should it be "floating" in the gap that is about 1/8"?

I'd say run a spacer. I have a spacer on mine.....you don't really want the sprocket to be floating between the C clip.

You should install a spacer (or spacers as I have 2) to keep it from "floating".

The factory wants .010 inch end play. Shims come in different thickness. I set them on the bench then align chains with shims at inboard bearing.
