Max IV bearings

  • Max IV bearings

    just got my outer bearings from buffalo bearings today. they are the outer bearings for my 1994 Max IV. on the outer race there is a small nipple protruding out. anyone have any idea as to what this is for? thanks for any help.

    It is a keeper tab just take a file and file it off they are not needed had to do that to my bearings for my argo

      Exactly. You can just file it off or use a bench grinder to take it down flush with the outer race of the bearing.

        Or just grab it with a pair of diagonal cutters or pliers and pull it out.

          As Mike said, grab it and pull it out. It's much easier than filing it down.
