max 4 help

I was looking at a max 4 project that is on Craigslist in Denver and it looks like a fair deal. I can't seem to remember how to post the Craigslist link. It has square headlights and by the looks of it 21" tires. The info in the add is pretty vague so I thought I would ask the questions here.

Will the max fit 25" tires and when did they start putting solid axles or splined axles in them?

The Max IV will fit 26" tires without any issues. The major changes to the Max line of ATVs were introduced around 1997-1998. With that came the square headlights and the option of splined axles but the splined axles weren't standard in every machine then.

Marshgunner that is a good price.I couldn't see the motor or exhaust and it looks like someone replaced the headlights with square ones,If so that might be an older model.It is hard to tell.

I have not seen one with the small headlights before, so I am guessing that someone may have installed them there. They look like they may have come from a max2. I agree,I don't. see a engine but there may be one in there.
