Like Drew and Dan said this site has the best group of tech smart guys/gals you can find. If you are in NC you could be very close to a few memebers. So just tell us what your Max IV is doing or not doing and I'm sure we can help you figure out what to do next.Hold My B..R and Watch This!!!

Ok
When I pull the right stick back and I try to turn it is poping and grinding almost like a chain is slipping on a sprocket but all the chain are good .
The other thing that is going on is when this thing gets hot it just cuts off and will not run at all . I have cleaned the carb real good and replaced all the gaskets and o-rings in the carb . I just can figure this thing out for the life of me . Any and all help would be much appreciated
If I need to I can post a video of the sound it is making

Do you have splined or pinned axles? If it is a pinned set up I would think a pin has snapped or you actually broke an axle, but the assembly just has not come apart yet. For the heat thing, I'm thinking a bad coil is causing your issues. Neither is a big deal or tough to fix. Videos do help, and wait for someone else to chime in at least about the engine thing until you start tearing stuff apart and buying parts. Multiple opinions are a good thing, and I am not usually correct.Last edited by amphibious drew; 06-08-2012, 09:32 PM.l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

if your chains are tight and you can't see any sag in them I would look at the triple sprocket that is on your center axles, mainly the drive axle chain coming from the jack shaft. once it starts to loose teeth it will began to pop and once too many teeth are gone it will no longer turn just pop alot.Hold My B..R and Watch This!!!

Sorry to disagree with Cbass but the Max IV doesn't have jack shafts or triple sprockets. The drive sprocket is on the rear axle. But as far as checking the teeth that's good advice. We need as much info as possible. Year, engine, splined axles Etc. Videos are always good"Don't worry my Dad's a TV repairman, he has an excellent set of tools..I can fix It"

Other than the noise, is it turning fine? The bands on the T20 make a noise before they are fully engaged on the drums and the first time you hear it, it sounds like something is wrong. I know you said you were just getting this Max going after it sat out for a while so I wasn't sure if you had any experience with the normal noises that the transmission makes?
