  • Max II Bearings Don't Fit

Hey guys i have a 98 Max II and the old bearings are 207-20 on the out side and 206-20 on the inside. Ordered my new bearings from Buffalo Bearings and put the 206s in the flange the way Mikes Vid. showed and the bearing want fit threw the hole on the frame. The cast iron flange likes 1/4" to go up to the frame. What did you guys do to make it fit?

I'm kinda lost on your wording of what's going on. But I do remeber I had to take out the little nipple like dowel on the outer bearing to make sure it fit right. Not sure if that may be the case or not.

Yes i took the nipple out ,the back of the bearing hits the frame and holds the flange 1/4" away from the frame. My old bearings didn`t have the lip on the back side of the bearing.

Thanks Jim, they sent the wrong bearing. the new bearings are HC 206-20 R3,the old bearings are SA 206-20. T HE FLANGE is the cast iron 2 bolt flange that mounts inside the body that the bearing fits inside of.
