    travisch ,

I noticed in the picture of your Mudd OX ,and your friends Argo Avenger parked side by side , with the head lights on, that the Argo Avenger,s head lights looked twice as bright as the Mudd Ox head lights? Does the Argo Avenger have a higher out put alternator?

      Mudd Ox has high/low beams.

Yup....Running low beam. On high they are really bright. On the Mudd-Ox this is a standard feature.

            Travis,

Great pictures, thanks for sharing. I just ordered a Mudd-Ox myself. I'll be using it up here in Alaska both with and without tracks and would like your opinion on the gearing. Do you think the low gearing option would be a requirement for tracks? I'll be operating at lower elevations than you - sea level to 4000 feet but I'll likely be pulling a trailer during hunting season. Any input would be appreciated.

Tough call Brian - I'll get the high gear set installed in mine and let you know.
Are you going to run the Muddox track or the Argo track?
If running the Argo track I'd order it with the high gear set installed and the low gear sprockets in a box with it. Then....if you need lower gearing you have them to swap into the machine.
If I had to guess I'd bet the high gear set with the Argo tracks will be a perfect match.

                Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great pictures there Travis. Those are some fine looking machines.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

                  Thanks for the info.
I haven't decided on which tracks yet, they will be needed more for crossing bogs than snow though. I'll have to get the lower ratio sprockets and do some experimenting also. Hopefully it won't be too difficult to swap them out...
How is your fuel usage while running the tracks? My moose hunting spot is about 35 miles through the swamp, I'm curious how much fuel I'll have to pack.
