You're way too young to have a bad memory about clutches, LarryW. So who had problems with having to send clutches back? You must've heard that somewhere? (This is why I always write everything down & make plenty of copies.):

It was good seeing you at the ride last weekend. What a blast!!! Cougers machine has been done for awhile. He had surgery on his leg and has been laid up. Couger is getting around better now. The clutches are fine. It was the exhaust we sent out to have it ceramic coated. Cougers machine is the first one we have ceramic coated the exhaust to keep the engine bay temps down.

So, how's the Ox working out for you? You must have put it through the ringer by now.

Sorry, I've been busy lately. Out of town the last couple of days and haven't been on the forum in awhile. There seems to be a certain amount of interest, besides the above post, as to the status of my parts delivery. The majority of the parts came in. They were roughly a week behind what Matt originally told me. The alternator was minus the higher cfm fan. Matt called on March 29 and told me the fans were back ordered, would be in in the next day, and I would receive it within a week. I haven't gotten it yet. In all honesty, I have never received anything on time from Matt. A good customer service reputation is earned. If you provide the service, you receive the reputation. As simple as that. If you don't want people to condemn your business practices, then don't behave in a manner that leads people to do that.

I'm sure I'll get a call from Matt now. The only timely response I have ever received from him is when I post on the forum. Matt, you build a good machine, but your customer service/support is absolutely horrible.

Good to hear from you today. I'm sure glad you found that check......that keeps me from having to pay 25 bucks or so to stop payment since I wasn't sure of it's whereabouts. I'll look forward to the skid plate, heated throttle cable, and alternator upgrade showing up next week as promised. (The sooner the better since I've waited so long already...)

    Thanks,

    Hey Matt,

I can't seem to reach you via phone and the emails seem to usually go unanswered, so I thought I would try this venue. We had conversed a bit via email and a phone message that you left me in early December about the heated throttle cable and skid plate that you had committed to send me when I purchased the Mudd Ox in late 08, (and you apologized for being so belated in sending them). Anyhow, after I told you about my interest in the alternator upgrade and you quoted me the price, I decided to go ahead and purchase it also so it could be sent with the other items. I left you a phone message about this and sent the check almost a month ago, but have never received the items or heard anything out of you as to why. I left a follow up message both on your work phone and your cell 3 days ago and haven't received a response to those either. I hope everything is okay over there on your end, and maybe you are just running a little behind right now. (I have noticed that you have been logged onto this site several times in the last few days, though, so I thought maybe this would be a good way to communicate with you). Thanks in advance for any information.
