No one seems to have noticed that this washout was sand. A wheeled quad or just about any other machine would not have had the traction to pull out of this hole. Did you also notice that the angle was about 38 to 40 degrees? Once again most machines would have flipped over backward trying to get the traction necessary to make the climb. The Mudd Ox simply walked up an impossible angle in sand, you can't really appreciate how hard this is unless you have flipped a quad or six wheeler trying to climb out of a situation like this!

      Hello guys (and gals :-))

hoped you enjoyed some of the short video we got while out playing...Mike found the software that you suggested Dave and is playing with it today...got a couple more short videos posted on YouTube today, but not sure how to link them here...will try to get all of the video loaded to YouTube later this week...Your right Dan...sand this loose is pretty hard to climb out of in most cases and we had lots of fun finding sand bars on the river that were too steep to climb... but usually we get on such an angle that the motor will run out of fuel and die (you will see in one or two of the clips), or the tilt is so steep that the motor starts to digest crankcase oil and we have to level back out...still had a lot of fun...also the river was quite a bit higher than normal and the swift current was a bit of a challange..adding to the fun also!!!

Nice videos guys, yes, sand and high angles are tough and videos do not do them any justice.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

Roger posted a comment one time and said that if a hill looks steep in a video, its even steeper in real life! With that being said , the bank on the opposite side where the Mudd-ox drove in, looked very steep to me!
