Wow $40,000! 45 on water would be cool. Looks like it would be a neat machine to cruise around on. Made in Auburn Hills Michigan. Thats where Amphicats started production.

I was just surfing over to post that link. The Quadski looks like the first real attempt at making a high performance amphibious ATV. It looks fairly large but the four wheel suspension, and FOLD UP WHEELS!!! for water travel should make it awesome. 45mph across water is a real winner. The price tag really isn't that steep for all that technology. The new Argo Titan has 1970's technology, no suspension, and a 4mph water speed for $28,000. Add just $12k for the high tech Quadski? SOLD!
Everybody dies, but not everybody lives.

Very good point Brandon! When you think of it that way its not to bad.

The atv must be that large to hold the 4cy. BMW engine. Looks rear mounted. Im actually surprised it dont go faster on land anyways. Must be geared low.

Brandon, there is a pretty strong rumor here in Ontario that Argo have a Patent problem with the name TITAN. Rumor has it that there will be a name change, maybe something like XTI?????? Maybe Lewis knows more.

I guess it all depends on your application, but that rig just doesn't look useful at all to me... It looks heavy and cumbersome, I doubt it's very maneuverable. I can see getting it stuck real easy...

I also was wondering about the name Titan but i have not heard of any thing so far.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

Easier to get stuck than a traditional 4 wheeler? Check. Bottom "lightweight" enough to get trashed every time you cross a log? check. Slower than a 4-wheeler with worse ride and longer wheelbase? check. Lack of storage even worse than my grizzly? check. However, a step in the right direction and future of these aatv's? check. 10yrs down and they've got something. No more trailering your jet ski to the lake. No more crawling your back breaking argo to the crick to cross, etc. I think it will end up cool, just AT THIS POINT doesn't meet any of my needs at least. My $.02.

I think its just every machine is engineered for a specific purpose. If your not into hard core off roading and more into cruising around lake or trail this would be perfect.

UMM... wow... looks to me like some reality tv producer and his crew were brainstorming for new ideas while sitting around having a few beers, and the conversation went something like "what if we took a jet ski threw on a huge engine and added some wheels..." I'm just so underwhelmed.
Yuck, not interested, nor interesting. Call me a purist, but when I think of 21st century amphibs, what they have doesn't come up in even the farthest reaches of my mind. Why couldn't they just team up with one of the already-in-the-business manufacturers and come up with something REALLY impressive. Who is it who's signature says "there's something wrong with your atv..." Our machines have a certain undeniable charm and that is what makes them special. Yes they are slow and they ride rough, but you have to ask yourself, will anyone be restoring quad skis when they are 40+ years old? Somehow, I doubt it.

I cant see this 40k vehicle going through thick sticky marsh like environment without some major problems, our aatv's can make it through deep thick sticky mud-the boat option is totally useless in thick deep mud-its basically a typical 4 wheeler.Maybe I am wrong but its just a gut feeling.

I had some hope for this vehicle when I first saw it but I believe it's going to turn out to be a very low production novelty item. Technology is good overall compared to current amphibs. The Quadski just doesn't offer much for performance off road (it's only two wheel drive) and then it's only a single person boat. This vehicle would have a lot more to offer if they had gone through with their original plans to make it street legal. Now it's just a quad with no performance. You could just buy a real quad for $8000 and a real jet ski for another $8000. Tow your jet ski to the lake with the quad, since neither your quad nor the Quadski is street legal. Unload your jetski, which seats three people, and take some hot babes for a ride.
