  • problem--- help!

    Hay every one . Look I have this terra tiger with a 440 snowmo engin . how can I keep the clutches from slipping ? Any and all info would be great .

    Is your belt tension correct? Belt worn or glased?

      if it's the steering clutches slipping, you can try cleaning with some brake cleaner. they might be glazed real bad if they have been slipping for a while. in that case try sanding with some 180 grit paper. then again... it might just be time for some new clutches

        The belt is on the money . You got to remember its a 440 two stroke. Lottts of power . Thanks a bunch .

              It sounds like you will have to increase the spring pressure. Not an easy task as you will have to pull the whole shaft out to do it. Been there done that.
              Usually the spring pressure is sufficient with the lower horsepower but when a twin is put in there along with bigger lug tires the clutches can't handle the load hence the slippage.
