  • My Scrambler restoration

OK, I'm finally getting started on the restoration of my Scrambler 1100. I'm going to post questions here as I go with hopes of someone being able to give me some guidance. I'll also post pictures as we go.

For right now I have a couple of questions.

First, is there anywhere to get the molding that goes around the body where the top and bottom parts are riveted together? The original molding was petrified and broke to bits as we pulled it off.

Second, does anyone reproduce the plastic skid that runs under the body? Mine isn't in terrible condition but I'd like to replace it if possible.

Thanks in advance for any help.

There's a member on here local to the Grand Rapids area that is good with these, he suggested a piece of diamond plate instead. Lightweight and strong.

Diamond tread plate on the bottom is not such a good idea. It will be durable, but not slippery, getting over objects like rocks or logs would be tougher.
A piece of HDPE could be warmed and molded to the bottom to replace the original cracked up nylon.
