max frame 3.jpgmax frame 2.jpgmax frame 1.jpgmax axle 2.jpgmax axle 1.jpgfame fit-very tight-I did not cut the max frame-axle spacing was different than the scramblers-I just used a whole saw to make new axle holes and patched the scrambler axle holes with the pieces I cut out-I siliconed everything and launched the scrambler at the boat launch and it moved and floated great!-Not the prettiest job but it works and it fit my budget. Thanks once again buggyman!Last edited by flippy; 01-09-2013, 05:11 PM.

I agree about the Scrambler trans...if you want to call it a trans. I adapted an ATV 7000 gearbox from an old Attex into my existing clutch/brake system, which gave it reverse, and that part of it worked fine, but the clutch/brake part of it still gives trouble. Using 1/8 inch roll pins for pivot points on the clutches and lack of keyed shafts and sprockets are trouble prone and a ridiculous idea. I'm getting ready to get it going again after twenty years and will be addressing these issues to get the thing reliable. Your idea is very good. My other two Scramblers will get extensive drive train mods. I like the Scrambler hulls for their 60 inch wheel base and good flotation in water. They don't pitch as much on steep downgrades as much as my Centipede with Smaller wheelbase.
