Jacobsen Pug 4x4 questions

Hi All. I recently picked up a jacobsen pug that I am putting back together. The previous owner put a polaris ATV engine (still in the frame mounted above where the original engine was) on it. I replaced it with a clone motor and have it running pretty nice.
The questions I have are what can I use for a steering tie rod end? The one someone had on it doesnt fit the cylinder right and is too small for the hold on the bed portion. Also, where can I get brakes for it? The guy I bought it from said they were the same a some jeep or something but I really have no idea.

Nice Pug. However,I know nothing about them. How about a picture of the application for the tie rod end. This may help someone provide a suggestion.

Thanks! I have a Gator 6x4 but this thing hauls much more and goes much better (after the new tires I put on it anyway
As far as the tie rod, I will get a pic of the one that someone put on it but I don't think it's right. It doesn't fit tight on the steering cylinder and the part that goes down thru the spindle is too small. The previous owner had it shimmed up but with nothing tight, it rocked back and forth. I figure there is some automotive application that would be the same as this if I can just find out what.

So after looking closer at the steering cylinder, I see that some one has rigged up both ends of it. I am not sure if they changed the cylinder or what but neither end fits right. The back end that is fastened to the chassis has a large nut used for a spacer and then the castle nut after that. But since it's like a car tie rod end, they couldnt tighten it because the tapered end doesnt fit. Ugh! Can anyone upload a pic of what the ends of their pug steering cylinder looks like? Thanks!!!

Ha! Yeah.. it was like 2.5 hours for me. I took the truck and trailer to be safe. There was a good snow on up your way then too! It was crazy what the guy had done to it before me. I've never seen anyone weld a polaris 4 wheeler frame to another machine like that. There was a ratchet strap holding one end on. The other had a scissor jack to keep tention on the chain. The welded a sprocket on the opposite end of the shaft that the driven clutch is on. It was a death trap! I ordered a tie rod from that McMaster-carr and it arrived today. I'll work on it tonight or tomrrow!
I gave $900 for the machine... which hurt me at the time I have $411 in new Journey p350 tires, $240 in a HF 13HP engine (bought it a couple years ago but it was still in the box), $240 in a new drive clutch, and probably another $100 in misc (ignition switch, lights, etc). So I quess that $1900 isn't too bad for a machine thats almost 50% new parts, is it?

I saw one of these for $800.00 awhile ago and didn't move on it. The guy said that we thought it needed a master cylinder other than that it seemed solid. Still regretting not moving on it quicker. Do you know if there are any for sale?
