Serra trail boss trans

Any info on the trans in a boss? I have to push very hard on the levers to move. Do I mabe need new bands? How hard are they to put in? Any pics and or diagrams on them would also be helpful thanks.

I have posted the adjustment proceedure for the trannys a few times on the sight, but I can't tell you where. (Sorry) However, I offer this instread. It's a bit easier too. Gimme a call @4149404591 any day after 5pm CST, and I will try to explain it to you. (I'm in Wisconsin.) It isn't a very hard task, but a bit confusing if you don't understand how these trannys work in the first place. There are 2 simple adjustments that have to be made (to each tranny). But they have to be somewhat syncronized. There are also 2 different styles of brake bands in the trannys. OLD and NEw style. The only way to know for sure what style you have is to open the cases. But you want to save that as a last resort. Regardless of what style bands you have, the adjustment proceedure is the same, so you are safe there. As far as pictures goes, I have pictures of the bands that I posted in my gallery. If all are still there, you will see the difference between New and Old style bands.
