Picking up another AATV on sunday, a trail boss. I know there not the best but it has a new 16hp engine, new comet 980 clutch, all new tires, newly powder coated rims for $250. Second springer project hmmmm???

I think a trail boss would make a great springer.....it would eliminate the biggest weakness, the 18" tire size. If you could squeeze 25"ers on it, I bet it would be a great machine. -

The trail boss transmissions seem to work fine. I think they just got bad press back in the day from abuse....after all, they have instant counter rotation, and how tempting would it be to go from full speed forward to instant reverse. And doing that definitely qualifies as abuse!
Another member has a trail boss with a t-20, can't remember his name but he lived on the east coast, maybe Jersey??? There are probably pictures in the gallery.Comment

Well it wasn't mine but I do have a parts machine with where one was cobbed in.sigpic
My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
Joe Camel never does that.
