Nice vid Deereguy,I remember my Dad having a brochure on one way back when,we ended up staying with amphib,s because of our lake access cottage but I cant help but think that we would have been going up north to the cottage in the winter sooner with one of those PPT,s than we did as it was a while later before we got sled,s,them machines were very versatile and a true year round with out adding anything.NCT

Larry I just saw this thread. You crack me up, but, I'm worried you might have roosters, and they may be running around with socks on.

I've named her "the honey badger"

I've been using and abusing the ppt hauling firewood. It's hauled several full cord so far. We have record snow on the ground here in lower michigan. The honey badger just floats right on top of all those drifts.

I've made a few minor repairs along the way, but today she had a catastrophic failure. The primary clutch broke. A new used one from eBay is between $250-300.

I've been planning to do the hydro swap since I first bought this thing. I guess it's time.

I will document the progress here. It's pretty straightforward, my only concern is that the gearing may not be correct and or the hydraulic motors may not be powerful enough.

I took a long break from the honey badger hydro swap, but I started back at it a few days ago.

While not finished, it is alive!
